empowermefirst Zimbabwe currently is operating with 3 centres, nearly 100 students in total, two in Bulawayo one in Victoria Falls. All centres are in high density areas with many vulnerable school dropouts. We are planning to open 3 more centres in Hwange rural district where education is most needed in February 2023.
Do you have used devices – smartphones, tablets, laptops – in good working order? Send them to Zimbabwe and make a difference for our students! Currently 3 to 4 students share one device. With more students enrolling and to allow students to study more effectively we need more devices.
Devices from Switzerland can be picked up and sent by our local volunteers, unless you want to send them directly to empowermefirst Zimbabwe. For pickup and for devices from outside Switzerland please contact us for further information.
empowermefirst.college is a charity based in Switzerland that offers free online education to upper secondary school dropouts. Students receive upper secondary school education with a focus on STEM, coaching, entrepreneurship mentoring, ICT vocational training. The lessons are accessible to all regardless of gender, religion, culture, lifestyle, age and we attach great importance to equality and inclusivity.
