Day six - Cold, rain, 58 km, 200m ascent
--> We raised CHF 1655.-
Day six - Cold, tendinitis and very blissful
We started in Sion and had planned to go all the way to Fiesch. But not only did it start raining and the forecast said snow for Sunday on the route to Oberwald and from Realp to Andermatt. Furthermore, the tendonitis in Brigit's foot got worse, so we decided to put in a rest day in Brig and take the train to Realp on Monday from where we will ride over Oberalppass, beautiful but certainly challenging at this time of the year.
Yet we're on track! As we are half way on our trip, we have done 477km, thus exceeded the aim for the first half by nearly 20%!
With all the challenges we also have amazing news. We also raised 1075.- in donations today! Thanks so much to everyone for believing in us!
Tomorrow will be a day of planning, of focus and of finding ways of being more effective than every. We have achieved so much already thanks to everyone's help and as you can see, we are determined to educate now! So we thank everyone for their amazing support!
Oh, have a good rest day!
And it looks like Monday should be a beautiful day again.
Wishing you a quick recovery…
